Choicer Voicer Microphone Troubleshooting

A practical sequence for checking microphone permission, device selection, input levels and browser behavior.

Updated Aug 8, 2026

Check microphone permission

Confirm that your operating system and browser both allow microphone access for the game. A browser-level permission can remain blocked even when the operating system setting is correct.

Select the intended device

Disconnect unused microphones temporarily, then choose the correct input in your operating system and in the browser or game when a device selector is available.

Check input levels

  1. Speak at your normal play volume.
  2. Watch the operating system’s input meter.
  3. Move closer to the microphone if the signal is consistently low.
  4. Reduce gain when the meter clips at maximum.
Test with a short phrase. Increasing gain can also amplify room noise, so make small adjustments.

Browser checks

Reload the page after changing permissions, close other applications that may hold the microphone, and test in a current browser. If input works elsewhere but not in Choicer Voicer, return to the game’s own support resources for version-specific help.
